I bought a used DVD from Rogers Video. Upon arriving home, there was no DVD in the case. I stuffed the receipt and the plastic wrapping back in the case and resolved to take it back when I had time.

Oh MAN. Is this the part when we go to Orillia and egg the Rogers? Did they ever end up returning your money?

Always best to talk to the manager. If he/she doesn't cooperate, ask for their Area Manager's phone number, and offer to call them right then and there, so that you can put the situation to rest right away, rather than have Rogers waste even more of your time (and make sure that you say that part). Guaranteed it'll get resolved to your satisfaction. The reality is that it costs them maybe 5 bucks, which is much less expensive than driving a customer away.

I wonder if it's impossible to like.. I dunno.. Go up to the shelf, crack open a DVD case nd... Take the DVD out.. Leaving the case behind?

Or maybe they do the smart thing and don't actually populate the case with anything until you buy it, ala GameStop... But if that were true, the clerk's explanation makes no sense...

Anyhow, I hope you're next post is one describing your recent victory of the evils of Rogers and whatnot.

Good luck to you! Fight the good fight! Resist the corporate behemoth! =D
