Jelgate's Two Cents-Human

Human was and is a Rush episode. So as you might imagine I hated the episode. I kid of course. Human gave us what Stargate Universe is really good at. Massive characterization mixed in with action. Thanks for this lovely review :)

I agree with most of the things you say. However I find the cave in belivable. What I had a hard time swallowing as real was the typical but huge spider crawling around - yeah right - great and scary alien organism *rolls eyes* What also screamed at me FAKE was the first larger view shown of the ruins when the team arrives - the middle wall piece with these 3 rectangular structurs on looks very fake - I am not sure why, it just screams FAKE at me XD

There was a lot I liked about this episode. The overall theme - the whole dying-wife thing as motivation/inspiration/explanation - is a little tired (has a husband ever died the same way in TVland??) but RC acted his heart out, and his life made sense.

The "42" bit would have been even funnier if they hadn't explained it at all; but I'll take what I can get!

I really liked Rush's colleague, who stepped into Gloria's life. Oh, and the shout-out to RSA; I know a couple of the "R" in RSA's former students.
