MERRY CHRISTMAS! (o^ - ^)~~~<3

Chapter 1

After a countless minutes of walking, he had finally reached his best friend’s house. It was late in the evening. Really late in the evening, that he could no longer see any living creature hanging around except for the insects hanging around.

He knew that his best friend’s parents were already asleep but he knew too well that the other was still awake and worried sick when he sent her a message. He brought his overnight bag with him as they decided for him to stay overnight.

When the door was opened by his best friend, he knew his face could only show stress and helplessness as if ready to burst into tears.

It was very rare to see a vulnerable look shown on Kamenashi Kazuya’s face that was why his best friend was more than concerned. Kazuya was usually a happy person. He always had this bright and perky aura which was an advantage for him as a SEXY D.J in a F.M station where he works.

“Mei…” He called out his best friend’s name weakly.

The girl named Mei smiled at him warmly as he felt a hand petting his head. “Bad day?” The other guessed.

The question made Kazuya feel more upset. “You can say this is the worst day of my life. I’ve never felt so down, I’m like a damn ass zombie at work. I moved like a broken robot, I don’t even know how many dead airs I made,” he blurted out fast and heaved a deep sigh as they walked inside.

The petite girl sensed that her best friend’s situation was one of a hell serious issue so she decided that they need to talk in a private area. “Let’s go to the library,” she said.

As soon as they went inside the secluded place, Kazuya plopped down his body on the large couch like a dead man. “I’d like to shoot Nana Obaa-chan.”

For a minute or so, Mei stopped on her track then slowly sat on the single couch across Kazuya. The girl stared at him straightly with an arch eyebrow.

“Did I heard it right? Did you say Nana Obaa-chan? The grandmother you adore so much?” Mei asked with still disbelief on her small heart shaped face.

Kazuya sighed, only his best friend Mei knew about his closeness with his grandmother. His grandmother Natsuki a.k.a Nana was his mother’s father’s youngest sister.

His grandfather Kyotaro with his beloved wife died in an accident when Kazuya’s mother was still young and from then on, his grandmother Natsuki looked after his mother. As the time came when his mother get married, his grandmother Natsuki though she was already forty of age went to America where she built a restaurant and there she met her husband, Tokoro George a rich businessman who owned lots of lands all over the world.

When Kazuya was born and turned eight years old, he was happily living with his family with playful three brothers, with his strict but funny father and a caring loving mother. But a fateful day came which made Kazuya broken.

Their family planned to take a vacation in Hawaii. They decided to buy some stuffs for the trip, his parents along with his brothers went to the mall but he wasn’t with them because he was pulled back by his baseball captain for their weekend practice. His mother told him before that they’ll just buy the things he needed and the foods he likes best so he doesn’t have to be sad when he couldn’t go with them. So after the baseball practice, he walked back home with a happy smile on his face. But as he was leisurely walking on his way home, a sudden phone call came and that simple changed his life. A call that told him that his family was already gone because of a car accident, his family’s car was hit by a ten wheeler truck.

That accident took all his happiness away. He thought he could no longer live again but his grandmother Natsuki came back and took care of him along with her family. They had given him love which helped him to stand up and look forward for the future.

As he entered Junior High School, though he was still young, he told his grandmother that he can live on his own and he will be fine. He was grateful enough that his grandmother given him a home to stay in and supported him financially with his education, he thought that he doesn’t want to trouble his grandmother anymore, she have her own family to spend her life with. The elder hesitated at first but she let her grandson do what he wanted, he was after all a knowledgeable and responsible person in his young age. She went back to America with his family, but she never forgot to check Kazuya every month.

Kazuya looked up at his grandmother Natsuki as his second mother, he respected her a lot. Once he entered college, Natsuki wanted him to take Hotel and Restaurant Management for him to take over one of her businesses in America. But when he told her that he wanted to take Communications to enter the industry especially the radio world, the elder didn’t disagree but instead helped and supported him all the way.

Oh yes, Natsuki Obaa-sama was the perfect grandmother of all generations. Mei concluded. But why he’d like to shoot her now? She asked curiously.

“Adore?” Kazuya broke the silence. “Not now,” he aid grimly. “It’s really unfair when there’s a wonderful offer but behind it there’s that stupid condition!”

“What offer? What condition? GEEZ! Kazuya! Will you start from the beginning?” Mei excitedly asked but at the same time annoyed because she was really getting curious over the matter. “I’m not a mind reader! I’m gonna be insane here so stop with the thrilling part!” She nudged the other hard on the ribs.

Kazuya pouted; sometimes (or always) he thought his best friend was more masculine than those wrestlers on T.V.

He sighed. “Last night we met, of course I’m happy to see her because she was able to squeeze some time for me despite her hectic schedule as a restaurateur and she’ll only stay here in Japan for two days. And you know what was the reason she came to me?” He stopped and saw how hooked up his best friend was.

“COME ON! Tell me already! KAMENASHI!” Mei shook the other’s shoulder like a mad man.

Though he was in the state of depression, he couldn’t help but chuckle on the petite girl’s expression. He let out a bitter smile. “The reason she came to visit is to tell me that she’ll put all the Okinawa properties on my name.”

Kazuya saw how Mei’s eyes comically widen in shock and then as if like those in anime series, her face lighten up like an angel in the sky.

“T-The holiday house near the beach?” The girl asking for confirmation dreamily. Not only once did they go and spend their vacation there when they were still in college, they even went there for their graduation trip with their college close friends: Nakamaru Yuichi, Tanaka Koki, Taguchi Junnosuke and Ueda Tatsuya. It was not even an ordinary holiday house, a very modern tech house which was made in glass. Its space is equivalent of three Tokyo Domes; guest houses, wide playground (for baseball, soccer, basketball, mini car race, etc.), a mini awesome bar and a private beach. The cost of the whole land wasn’t just pricey; it was totally one of the expensive lands in Japan. And it was the DREAM HOUSE of anyone.

He nodded his head and said, “That house and a strawberry farm.”

The strawberry farm was a 5 hectare ground which produces high quality strawberries. It was 2 kilometers far from the holiday house.

Mei’s eyes went wide again as if it was going to bulge out from its socket. “KYA! KAZUYA! You’re A DAMN RICH MAN!!!” she suddenly jumped on her best friend and shook him nonstop like an overly on high fangirl.

“Yeah, and it also comes with a certain amount of cash,” he added.

“That’s good then!” She beamed like an idiot. “Why are you so upset about it? Aren’t you supposed to be happy?”

The older man sighed dejectedly. “I should be happy but with the condition that I need to get married within three months time… It’s impossible.” Thank goodness that Mei was still on top of him or else, he could have bang his head on the nearest wall.

Mei was shocked, beyond shock indeed. She stood up, stared at Kazuya blankly and said, “Pa has a gun on his safety box, you wanna borrow it?”

Mei palmed her forehead stupidly.

Kazuya placed his right arm over his forehead. “She’s so unfair!” He cried out loud desperately. How couldn’t he? After that night he and his grandmother Natsuki talked, he couldn’t open all his emotion but instead locked it up inside. He tried to hold it back the whole day but failed miserably. “She shouldn’t have given me that offer if it has an evil condition with it!”

Mei sat beside him and petted his head to make him feel better but it didn’t. “What did you tell her?” She asked.

“Well, of course I showed her my super sexy smile and told her that considered it done, just prepare the papers and herself ‘coz the next month she come back to visit, she’ll meet my fiancé.”

“You didn’t argue?” Mei asked amazed. She knew that Kazuya’s not the type of person to let himself lose to anything especially not to anyone. It was in his nature that he always has the reason to fight back at the matter.

But it was really strange that the almighty S type Kamenashi Kazuya was silent. It was really a serious case. It involves money-A lot of money. And it involves his personal life. His very personal life.

“She was grinning like a cat when she told me about the condition. I know her decision had been made and can’t be changed so I didn’t argue anymore,” he explained as he huff his cheeks childishly. “I left before I burst out in anger.”

Mei whistled like an idiot again and smiled widely. “WAY TO GO~ So… what are you going to do now? Any plan?”

“Preparing my wedding.”

Mei raised an eyebrow. She wasn’t sure if she heard him right. “Uhm… but Kazuya… As far as I know, we’re in second year college when you had your last relationship. Even a casual date from these past years, you never made one. Come to think of it, you even rejected the blind date that was set upon you by Maru last month.” She reminded him. “Meaning… Zero love life. So, the question is, who are you going to marry?”

It had been known between them and most of the people around them that Kazuya was a bisexual, so it had been very hard if it matters about love and relationship. Mei knew all too well that Kazuya was fragile when it comes to love, he can be easily hurt so it was hard for her too if the other is going to be hurt. They have been the best of friends since high school. She knew all along what happened back then when they were still young and in love.

“DAMN IT, Mei!” Kazuya exclaimed with firmness. “I swear I’m gonna find a partner! Whether it’s a female or a male! Within this week, I’m sure I’ll find one.”

Mei gasped. “OH F*CKING EGGPLANT SH*T! Don’t tell me you’re going to accept that flirty Eita as your boyfriend?! NO WAY IN HELL I LET YOU DO THAT!” She said in a scary stiff voice which only made Kazuya laughed out loud.

How couldn’t his best friend react like that in his secret stupid idea? It was after all Eita, the flirty disc jockey like him who have been the current aggressive suitor of Kamenashi Kazuya; they were both working in the same radio station. The guy was also Kazuya’s number one rival in the position as the station manager.

They were both working hard to show their dedication for their radio show. But it was a healthy and friendly competition.

Eita was almost the ideal guy. He was smart and ambitious. He possessed good looks, tall and handsome; a rich guy, and no vices at all.

But he loves women and men TOO much. TOO MUCH.

The guy said that he seriously likes Kazuya to be his partner for the rest of his lives and the other knew Eita was sincere and serious about it. But Kazuya knew also too well that it doesn’t mean that after they get together, the guy won’t stop flirting with other women and men around.

No way! Not Eita! Both Kazuya and Mei thought in synch.

“Don’t worry. I’ll find another one, okay? Don’t get all work up about it.” Kazuya said with a smile as he returned back petting the smaller one.

Mei stood up abruptly and placed both hands on her hips. “And what do you have in mind? Post an advertisement in the newspaper?” she said sarcastically.

Kazuya just smirked, “Just watch me.”

After that was said, something fell to the floor which made a loud noise.

Both Kazuya and Mei turned to the direction where the noise came from. At the very end of the library, at the dark and silent part, there stood a guy. Not bothering to get the book which fell on the ground and made a noise.

Kazuya looked at the guy gaping like a fish.

The guy was taller than he was, with a well-built body which shows the regular workout. He was wearing a plain white V neck shirt and a pair of baggy gray jogging pants. Kazuya took particular notice of the long pony-tailed hair which he bet reach the guy’s broad shoulders.

Kazuya couldn’t believe it; his heart started to beat faster like some maniac had brought a drum set inside his chest and started pounding it wildly.

“M-Mei, who’s he?” Even though a part of him knew the taller guy in front of them, Kazuya still asked his best friend in a low voice.

“Baka! It’s Jin nii-chan.” The girl beside him whispered back lazily.

JIN?
