“Looks like they were telling the truth,” Billy said as he turned off the engine and stared out at the small lake ahead of them. “I have to admit, the way they were grinning, I half expected us to end up out in the middle of nowhere with the truck stuck in quicksand or something.”
“You really think Karl and Craig would do something like that to us?” Dom asked, grinning as he hopped out of the truck and pulled off his shirt. “Come on,” he called as he started walking toward the water, pushing his pants off as he went. “This is just what they said, a nice secluded spot for two blokes who want to enjoy a midnight swim.”
“Well, they did seem awfully mad the time we exchanged all the food in their refrigerator for all the rotting stuff in Orlando's,” Billy pointed out. “And the time we stuck a red sock in Craig's white shorts the day before they did the laundry and their clothes came out pink. And the time...”
“You worry too much, Billy,” Dom said, cutting him off. He started wading into the water, smiling as he submerged up to his shoulders. “Come on, it's great.”
Billy eyed Dom skeptically as he started pulling is own clothes off and making his way toward the shoreline. “If you're sure...” he said, moving forward until the water was lapping at his ankles.
“I'm sure I'm sure,” Dom said, splashing water at Billy. “It's great... Hey! What the bloody fuck was that?”
Dom tore out of the water, running over to Billy who had retreated to the truck when Dom yelled. “What the hell is going on?”
Billy looked at his boyfriend's body and in the bright light of the moon it was obvious what the problem was. “Leeches.”
