Good luck with your decisions and getting the house of your dreams! I completely understand all the emotions you two must be going through, the anxiety, the indecision, the concern about finances and just the hassle of so much paperwork and new legal processes... but it's worth it!
By the way, I'm sure you guys are praying about it, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that God really cares about where we live. When I look back on how we ended up in our house, there really were a lot of "mysterious" events that steered our decision - even disappointments like being rejected on a previous bid, watching another favorite house go off the market, and having to negotiate on the house we eventually got. In the end, though, it just feels like God provided for us every step of the way and led us to the house we both loved. I have no doubt He's softening the hearts of the right people to get you your home, too :)
That is so true! We were really disappointed when one of our condo bids was rejected, but where we live now has twice the space and actually cost us less, but it was a little farther south in Aurora than where we looked. Plus we had a banking fiasco that was totally not our fault that occured the exact same week that the lenders were checking our accounts. I know God really moved on that one!
So I have to laugh at your Valentine's Day. Sam & I spent the day house hunting, then went to see Miss Saigon & then dinner :)
Congrats on finding a house. We did too! And you're right, there are some nice ones, some horrible ones and "THE ONE". Let me know how things go and how it all plays out!
