This was to be expected, though. Bush winning I mean. Most Americans didn't even vote: it was predicated on just 106 million ballots counted out of a population of almost 300 million Americans. Not all of those non-voters are children or convicts--people just sat on their fat asses and thought it didn't matter who got in. They just don't know that their freedom will be taken away by all the religous extremism and corporate collusion that Bush will allow, and has already allowed.
Americans need to realize our lifestyles are endangered by extremists and that we have the power to stop that. Except most of us didn't. I think we are fucked. Tuesday was America's last chance to prevent a neoconservative revolution, and we just encouraged them. Now we can only hope that Bush doesn't do much, because none of us have any say in federal policy, beyond pestering our Congress persons to attempt to represent us.
I'm going to post in my LJ about this in the next couple days. Check it all, ya'll.
