What a cryptic statement. Perhaps I should have asked to visit you Sunday after all. Oh well, I was supposed to be doing other things that day anyways. There is always Tuesday if you would like a hug. I'd like you to be able to make it to your camping trip.

one time i said that, and i lost a few "good" friends of mine, who were never true in the first place.

It's actually about something I brought on myself long ago that is now coming to a head. I am still in the "denial" phase.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, honey, but your body is missing. You are now just a disembodied arm. Holding on to a light switch.

Hopefully, I can still get hugs from you though. That's all I wanted out of you anyways. That's right. All this time I have been using you for hugs. I am a cold, selfish bitch, leeching on the warmth of other people to survive.

Now that you have a light bulb, I can get warmth from you even if you can't give me a hug. Maybe I can cradle you in swaddling clothes and tell people that you're my baby. Then, when they lean in to get a good look at the cute baby, I command "Kill, Hand, Kill" and you leap out and latch onto their face, gouging their eyes out as you burrow your sharp, ragged nails into their brains, your forearm stump beating against their throat and chest. Then I can steal their wallets and we can go to Powells.

What a great disembodied arm you are. I love you.
