Alright folks, Jenni has a new obsession.
I've been excited for
Atonement ever since I saw the first trailer, but then the second one came out, and kicked the obsession into high gear. I rememered I bought the book, so I inhaled the thing and now I'm proper obesessed. (Yesss, I know, I hadn't read the book before I knew there was going to be a

Here's a scene from the movie, with him you know, being dead sexy and stuff. It claims to be a Keira Knightley interview, but I think that's just because all the other copies that have been uploaded were taken down hahaa.
I saw Becoming Jane last week...it was mildly a disappointment, mostly because it wasn't as good as any actual Austen stories, but still, Jaaaaaaames. That man is all sorts of awesome. (And I did also download it from iheartcinema and gave it a rewatch yesterday, haha. I will never get sick of James in a green velvet jacket. Ever.)

I picked up Atonement at least five times during the last year and never got past the first few chapters but then I saw the trailer before holidays and told myself I had to finish it before the movie comes out and I'm loving it so far. I just returned from London and they had posters everywhere promoting the film and each bookstore had like four different editions of the book. I really can't wait for this movie, the trailer was incredible and made me all excited.
As for McEwan, I only finished Amsterdam and The Cement Garden and then read beginnings of Black Dogs, Enduring Love and Saturday. Lol I don't even know why I haven't finished those. It's not that his writing is that boring, as you said I like his descriptive and kind of distant style and the themes he chooses and I definitely want to read more from him.
Btw I love your new layout and I'm so happy you updated rush again! xx

I was geekily nervous about reading it before seeing the movie, just because the movie looks so good I didn't want to ruin it, you know? But then I was at the beach and had nothing to do so...it's up there in my top three favorite books now.

I've seriously been watching the trailer at least once a day for the past week, I'm ridiculous. It's just so prettyyy. I don't know if I can wait until December. I had been planning on visiting my friend who's studying in Dublin for the year at some point this fall....maybe I'll do it sooner rather than later so I can see Atonement hahaha. That might be a slight waste of a trip to Ireland, but do I care ( ... )

Of course not, it will just add to the beauty of the country so definitely not a waste.
Haha I didn't like Amsterdam that much either. I read it last year and this June they asked me about it during an uni interview and I wasn't even able to remember why the two guys killed each other at the end.
Yay for mac! I love your fanart.
