I personally haven't been in a long-distance relationship, but I know others that have. And I agree that you have to have the heart to stay in it.
And yours isn't the worst. I have a friend who has a boyfriend serving in the military over in Texas. They maybe get to see each other once every 2 months or so, and it's maybe for a day, or two (if they're lucky). Not saying yours isn't hard, but yeah, people can make it work. I'm sure you'll make it work too.
ahh my old friend. this i can attest to as well as offer up my encouragement and kudos. long distance sucks. it's not so bad if you're not as into the person as you thought you were... because it hits you faster than normal that you don't really want that relationship, but oh heaven help you if you're truly in love... josh and i have been together over a year, yet we've been separated by at least 1200 miles any given day for the past 8 and 1/2 months. IT FUCKING BITES. and we've still got AT LEAST 7 more months to go, maybe even 11. it's the worst thing ever waking up and falling asleep alone, and it especially sucks when you're not exactly sure WHEN you'll get to see each other again. i've had stupid bitches tell me that long distance relationships are fake and built on lies, doomed to fail and all sorts of other crap, but it's only people like that who could never cut it in a distance thing. fuck the haters. you've got the one you love... the end.
