Sometimes he asks me what I want for my birthday, or if I want something special for our anniversary, but usually he tries very hard to pick something special by himself, because he knows it means more if he knows me well enough to get me a gift that will be special to me... without having prepped me for it first.

He wears his heart on his sleeve. It's very easy to see how he's feeling just by looking at him.

He is a GREAT cook. I love what he can do in the kitchen. I wish he would cook for me all the time, but that wouldn't be fair to him.

He wants to solve all my problems. Most of the time it really irritates me, but it really is an endearing quality to have; I'd rather he want to solve my problems and fix my woes than not give a crap either way.

Riding on motorcycles, honestly, scares the snot out of me. That being said, I can ride with Josh and not feel frightened. He is very skilled with his bike and he helps make me feel safe, even if it's something simple, like patting my hand or leg when I start squeezing him extra hard.

I love that he is so knowledgeable about his job.

He has this deep, booming voice. It's silencing when he yells, it's velvet when he whispers. I love it.

He can be very thoughtful. One day I texted him while at work that I was having a very stressful day and that my body hurt, and when I got home he had run me a hot bubble bath, complete with candles and soothing music.

He pretends like he hates my chihuahua, but I know that he'd secretly be devastated if anything were to ever happen to him. I love that.

Whenever I'm sad, he says one word, one way, and it makes me laugh. Guaranteed. I don't know why, but it does. The word? Monkey.
