I will be sitting for my next lab license exam.  I am thinking positive thoughts like walking into work and saying, "that's MT (medical technologist) to you."   Me being cheap/environmentally friendly means lots of time in the library which is cool and free.  I have two wonderful books that I am using, as well as spending time in various upmc labs.

I had an awesome day with my sister, niece and nephew.  We went to a picnic in schenley for his preschool, then to the carosel (free after 2:30) to get icecream.    Silly me, I didn't use my normal sunscreen and got a bit crisped.  Something bit me right below my left eye, so I am a bit puffy to.  Sorry about having to miss the swapping next ( Read more... )

I am NOT colorblind.  However, I will humor you and take an exam at employee health to prove it.  I am sleep deprived, considering I have spent the past two weeks pulling 12 hour shifts with 6 hours of sleep to go on between said shifts.

things that I am happy about right now - a care package received from my best friend yesterday.  My increasing patience with my nephew.  Alik. successfully (after two botched tries!) donating blood on Friday.  two ENTIRE days off in february.

I am free this tuesday night.  Anyone up for dinner in bloomfield or shadyside?

on a lighter note....Christmas, even with me working in the afternoon was great.  My family liked their presents and my mom made a crustless Rachel Ray quiche that my coworkers inhaled.  I work at a hospital, so this was not a problem being that the ER is upstairs.  My apologies to all, especially Tara and Andrea for not being there NYE.  See my ( Read more... )

 Color me stingy with my time when it comes to being in a hospital and not being paid for it.  In order to get approval for my next (and hopefull last!) higher up lab license, I need to spend 80 hours in february at the micro department, unpaid.  After that's done, I send in my paperwork, hopefully get approval then set a date within three months ( Read more... )
