I completely understand. and i know people say that when they think they do but really they dont...but i really think i do. being understanding is a blessed curse sometimes. But no...I know. And I'm always worried that I'm just pretending to be ok one day and the next day i'm gonna wake up and it'll all come back to me and i realize i've fooled myself into thinking i was 'over it' and fine.
it's definitely easier with people around. you dont get so caught up in your thoughts. you have people to distract you. and it doesnt feel quite so lonely when someone is talking to you.
i'm thinking about you. i'm looking forward to some jenny time over the holidays.

Jenny, it's so strange that you say that. I'm in a rut too, or rather, just coming out of one. And I tried to write at least five lj entries about it, saying something like what you just did. But I never posted any of them.
I don't care what Jameson says. I want to be like you. I want to be honest like you.
All historically brilliant people were depressed at some point. Embrace it. I myself, who likes to tell random stangers of my boughts of depression, like to think that only when we are in those valleys of complete loneliness do we truly begin to search for God. You're growing, Jenny dear, consider these growing pains. And it doesn't hurt to up your meds and drinks lots of wine!!! =)
i'm my own person by myself, too. and a version that no one else knows...i understand the 'scary' that comes with a secret self.
and jameson's too wrapped up in stupid leah to think straight anyway. i've looked up to you since day one, and role models don't have to make perfect decisions all tht time. the best part about role models is watching them handle their mistakes. you're a graceful handler, and i love you a lot.
Piddling and thinking about drama is not (necessarily) a waste of time. There's a lot of value in taking time to sort out your thoughts and feelings. You of all people should know that.
Self-awareness is a good thing. Maybe the best of things.
You have to set the game up so it's easy to win. I'm not saying you should lower your expectations. But like you said, if you just acknowledge that from time to time the funk is gonna getcha, then you don't feel like a failure when it eventually does. The trick is to focus on your successes, not your failures. When you find yourself in a funk, just remind yourself of all your past funks and how you eventually overcame them. That'll give you the certainty you need to overcome the current one.
And yeah, I'll echo everyone else. There's quite a lot in Jenny that's worth modelling.
I know you don't feel like it sometimes, but you're one of the best of us.
