elves suck

i am currently reading the two swords(book three of series 6 of salvatore's forgotten realms books) and there is a part where drizzt(main character) assumes all his friends are dead, including the woman he loved. for about a month, he hangs around these two elves(by the way, drizzt is a drow, or dark elf, while the other two are moon elves)

you will be ok Blake i know you will. books can make us think like me and the troy game series but the truth is if we don't have those moments of utter despair than how can we know when we are supposed to be happy. yin and yang. its intresting that you bring up that point about living forever or no because im currently writting something(i don't know if it'll turn into a book or just a short story)on the subject...the whole immortality and mortality not love lost and then dangled infront of you. sorry irrelevent. do you really think that we would be put on this earth to suffer eternaly? what would be the point of that? i dunno it just doesn't seem to make sense that a heart could never ever heal...
