Yep, I'm in the fiber biz again and it's going great...I've discovered etsy, which has changed my life and also my way of thinking about art and money and craft and beauty.  A deep gift.  Here's a taste, if'n yer interested:

Thanks!

I wanted to mention that I'm enjoying your posts lately. I've recently gotten myself some chicks (getting to be big girls at 4 weeks now!) and it's fun seeing how your farm life goes.

Blessings to you and the critters~

awesome! I love the colors. I'd buy some if I didn't already have a big bag of unspun

Oh, tell me about it. I have about 20 lbs of raw alpaca fiber, 10 lbs of raw fleeces of different types, and pounds and pounds and pounds of undyed domestic wool, merino, mulberry silk, laps, etc.

For my business, don't ya know ;)

But, hey, when the revolution comes, we'll be in fat city with our skeeelz.

I think I'm going to pick up my spindles again. A friend had bought some handspun that was as nubby and uneven as my own spinning. I don't feel so unskilled anymore.

Ummmm. How did I not know you did this?

Did you know that I'm launching a fiber business as well?

Just bought a "good enough for now" production weaving loom yesterday. I'm weaving samples like a mad man to try for a vendor table at PantheaCon. (...and to produce merchandise for sale during the holidays.)

Oh, let's talk about a trade! I'd love to trade spinning and weaving for custom-dyed roving. Your colors are fantastic!

I thought we had talked about this at J'te's that day! Maybe it was a different day. With a different person :)

I did see your notes about your new loom. How wonderful that you've been able to make that happen for yourself. Good magick-working! I predict great things for you with this line of work/art.

Yes, we can talk about a trade...what'd ya have in mind? (tho it sounds like you are super busy right now so no hurry)

I recently read something about another weaver on Etsy who is a mathemetician/engineer sort and he mentioned how those crafts complement each other. I thought of you!

Blessings on your ventures...

My memory's so bad. I remember talking about embroidery and other fibercraft, but the concept that you did this stuff for work somehow got past me.

As for the trade, perhaps I can weave something for you in trade for some lovely roving. :) Not probably 'til after the holidays at any rate. I'd rather be able to give you my undivided attention.

Thanks and yes, they are yummy! I like to create styles that I enjoy spinning, random patterns and colors. I actually get bored spinning solid colors, so I like to mix it up. Fun!
