I am trying to get back into the swing of writing. It's been kind of easy the last week, because we're doing the Big State Exam, and because of all kinds of wackiness, I only have half of my students at one time. So I can't teach anything new, since the other students will miss it. Solution: they answer questions about a film, and I write fic. :)

Well, he does get kidnapped an awful lot. This was inspired by a day where I wanted to say "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!"

HAH! I love it! Why do people always forget that even though he's a doctor, John actually did have to go through training with the rest of the military? ROCK ON. \o/

I've notice that John is often (a) drugged unsuspectingly or (b) confronted with people who have guns. I think in the case of (b), resist and the odds are high you'll be dead; go along and you might live. John makes the logical choice.

This was something I cut from the first draft. It went on a bit longer, with Sherlock all worried. But then I decided Sherlock treating it as regular occurrence--because people are always trying to steal his blogger from him--was more in keeping with John's earlier thoughts and dialogue.

Perhaps it also shows a bit of Sherlock having faith in John's ability to take care of himself. I'm sure after the first foiled kidnapping attempt Sherlock was absolutely bonkers.

But after a few instances of BAMF!John, I'm sure now Sherlock is wondering how the wanna-be kidnappers can be so stupid as to think they can take off with John. If the others haven't succeed, how can this recent batch think they will?
