But he wrote the score for the Candyman!!! How can you possibly hate him? Plus he did Secret Window and I think the music is quite good in that.

Phillip Glass + Candyman = A bit of a legend in anyone's book.

His film music is mediocre for a composer. I don't rate it. He's just a giant arse too. He does minimalism all wrong. John Adams is accessible. He's not neccessarily commercial, he just bridges a gap between modernism and traditional phrasing and general musicality.
