Alright, I finished the book. I'm putting my initial thoughts behind a cut. I wholeheartedly apologize if you read these and have yet to finish the book.
I cried, at Meijer, when I got to dumbledore dying. I didn't even want to cry when Sirius died.
I really hated snape, all the books. This changed NOTHING. Fuck him for being the half blood prince. I keep hoping Dumbledore isn't dead, somehow, even though I KNOW Avadra Kedavra can't be reversed. I don't like how much attention Cho Chang got as a love interest in the previous novels while Ginny was glossed over. The HorCrux was guarded just as heavily as the locket (the ring, I mean) and Dumbledore grabbed something he shouldn't have--probably all we'll ever know about it. For the first time in...god, six books, I didn't hate Draco Malfoy. He was just...a boy with sucky parents. I actually felt bad for him while he was talking to Dumbledore.
I already loaned the book to shayne, less than 24 hours after purchasing it.
