It's hard to unlearn programmed responses, eh? It's one of the things of which J really took advantage when he came here: no one knew him and how he was "supposed" to be. It makes it a lot easier to be the person one is or wants to be. However, he still has the same problem with people from "back then", usually family, who didn't see and come to know the person as he emerged since.
