How do you DO that pattern? Is it the YARN that makes the colours go through the way they do in the photo? The pattern you directed us to is just plain knit...as far as I can figure it out, with a ruffle on the ends.
For weaving in the ends, your 'end' needs to be at least four inches long, so it'll go through the eye of the darning needle, and you can weave in at least two inches (5 cm)... otherwise they'll pull out with the movement of the wearer.

Pretty much. I don't know if you clicked on the word "yarn" at the start of the entry; if you didn't, it takes you to this page, which gives a better look at the yarn structure. I think the hardest parts were (a) getting the needle into the stitches, rather than between the "rungs" of the yarn ladder, and (b) working with the size 13 needles (9 mm), which felt clunky and awkward. I much prefer smaller ones. But for that scarf ... it was worth it. :-)
Re: the ends: I did leave enough of a tail; I think the structure of the scarf is just too lacy to really "hold" the ends in. I'll try again, though.
I have four more balls of the stuff in different colors, including one in shades of green. Not that I intend to keep them all to myself, of course :-), but I thought about making myself a green one, too.

That is really cool, though. The yarn, the scarf, etc.
I do always think of you with green, though. I just can't think of you in red. The purple is cool, though. Says the purple fanatic! *g*
