i feel the need to share my latest knitting project. i needed something to help make my brain stop being relay-obsessed after 9pm before i combusted, and oh did i find a big project. maybe nikki is the only one who would care, but i also have a conundrum.

don wants a blanket. i kind of suggested it as a joke, but he thought it would be really neat

So...I don't know how to do it, but I *think* double knitting is what you are looking for. It comes out looking like the smooth side of stockinette on both sides, and the colors end up reversed from each other on each side. So like, on one side it'd be orange with gray design and on the other it'd be gray with the design in orange. Also, that is an awesome idea for a design, I love it! Good luck, it sounds like a really fun project. I haven't knit for awhile...I'm waiting for the itch to come back!

i already started my other, made-up way that i think will work. i really wanted to end up with just a single layer so it wouldn't be too heavy. i'm also cheap and that's a lot of yarn. :)
