Frozen peas and story starts

Aug 04, 2009 10:21

Since finishing PLPP I've been expecting to suddenly find myself awash with enthusiasm about writing a new story. Alas, alack, this does not appear to be the case. I've written so many different starts to His Saving Grace I've turned myself back round in a circle and I'm not sure which one I want to go with. Plus, I've been writing beginnings all ( Read more... )

Yay for liking the random prologue, thanks.

I have just returned from the supermarket and today's mission was normal honey. Apparently that no longer exists either.

Thanks for your idea about a one shot. I've kind of gone down that route with His Saving Grace as I keep hearing songs and being like 'ooh, chapter!'

Karnivool seriously rock. Triple J is thrashing their new album and I'm loving it!

hahaha frozen peas. all the 'ah mccain, you've done it again' ads have made me hate the sight of anything frozen. hmmm, short story prompts ... i'm at a creative loss at the moment (australian geography does that to me) but i might get back to you on that. :)

oh i didn't realise you had an excerpt up! it's brilliant. with girls who are quite airheaded they come off as either ridiculously annoying and you just feel like chopping their head off, or they're absolutely adorable. yours is the latter. :) seems like a really interesting story.

Haha, I'm so amused you now hate the sight of anything frozen. Must make shopping quite limited for you as there are aisles you just couldn't enter!

Thanks for enjoying the excerpt. I have three different starts to the same story idea, but with the protagonist being a completely different kind of person. Maybe one day I'll settle on one, maybe not, it remains to be seen!

Cheers for commenting. Tassie is the southernmost state in Australia, just to help out with your geography!

Can I just say I loved that prologue? Because I did! I would be interested to see what happens next.

Also, peas are annoying. My aunt was saying the same thing. Almost, she was complaining that peas have the highest calories of any vegetable and she LOVES peas. She goes to Weight Watchers.

They just don't sell things like they used to.

Anyway, good luck with the stories.

Seriously, we have to count the calories in peas? That's shocking, vegetable should surely be 100 percent guilt free. They really don't just sell normal stuff anymore. Then again, Australia is not as bad as some places. I have been known to just about lose my mind over all the choices in UK supermarkets.

Thanks for saying you enjoyed the prologue, maybe some day I'll actually write the full story after it, I certainly hope so.
