my cat

My cat was almost killed last night by 4 dogs that got into our yard. She's in critical condition and on oxygen, but the vet says she'll pull through. My cat's 13 years old, and the only activity her aging body will let her enjoy is sitting outside on our porch. I don't even know if she can do that anymore because there's this pack of unleashed ( Read more... )

Tell me about it! I lost a kitty to Gould St. many many years ago too. I love having pets, but it can be so damn heart breaking when terrible things happen to them.

The same thing happened to both of my mom's cats, except they ended up dying. And it's going to keep happening until people figure out that keeping large, energetic, escape-prone dogs cooped up in a house in the city all day long is a really horrible idea. Wankers.

I'm so glad to hear that Delilah is going to be ok. Hope you find the owners soon and give them a good legal cockpunching.

I totally want to give someone a good legal cockpunching, especially since that's all I really can do about the situation. My dad called the cops as soon as it happened, but of course, they came too late to catch the dogs. I'm also assuming that they won't do anything to find their owners.

What really gets me is that sooo many laws have been broken, but because the victim is an animal, the whole matter isn't taken seriously by the cops. I know it's illegal to have 4 large dogs in a puny, suburban home, and it's definitely illegal to have them running around the neighborhood.

I'm so furious.

Call me if you want to talk.
I will say a prayer for her. I know she'll be alright.

Thanks kiddo.
I think she'll be okay physically eventually, but I know she's probably lost it mentally. I mean, she was already paranoid as hell before, and I hate to see how she is now.
I don't need to rehash the whole situation with anyone. I'm just disgusted and angry with the world right now, and I need to exclude myself from it for awhile.

totally understandable. I'm sure justice will be done. Just hang in there. They wont get away with being terrible pet owners.
