A sure sign.
Wow, it's been forever since I logged in to LJ. The proof? I actually forgot my password! I eventually remembered it, but wow! Not that I haven't wanted to, but I used to read LJ intermittently at work, and well, I don't have time to do that anymore. Today
Today is a snow day at work! I've never had a snow day for anything in my entire life. I needed a day off to clean my place to get it ready for JP and Jo's visit. Hopefully RJ's too. I was planning on taking Friday off, but then the snow gods answered by prayers a couple of days early. I may still take Friday off, I need to use up one more vacation ( Read more... ) -

Seems like I only have enough time to post once a month. Work has been seriously intense, which is okay. Because I'm f'n glad I still have a job. We had another round of layoffs last Wednesday that was a total surprise to everyone. That is, everyone who wasn't in the executive level circle of trust. I was thankfully spared.

I just remembered my dream this morning, which was a bit strange. I don't think it was about Casey specifically, but the end of the dream was all about Casey. I haven't heard from Casey in years. Radiology results.
I finally got my radiology results today. I should've known there was something wrong because it took them a whole week to tell me the results. The last time I had an ultra-sound, it took them 2 days to get back to me. Anyway, they found a nodule that they want to biopsy. Left behind.
I'm so far behind life. Between work and other creative endeavors, I don't have much time for anything else.
I haven't been feeling very good the last few months, and I finally had my thyroid checked out last week. It took forever just to get a new doctor. I will never procrastinate establishing patient care with a new primary care physician again ( Read more... ) -

The May Recap
Wow, so the month of May flew by. May consisted of:- Kate passing away at the age of 32 due to colon cancer.
- Mother's Day weekend with the family.
- Lunching with Bill, a former coworker, who is one of my favorite people.
- Haircut (I had to wait 4+ months for it to grow out so it wouldn't resemble my CCW's hair).
- Star Trek.

I haven't mentioned it here yet, I don't think. I've been volunteering at the non-profit hospice as a baker. I feel that hospice does important work, and I've known people, including my dad, who received care from hospice. The non-profit hospice has a cafe where they sell food to generate money for patient meals. That's where my baking skills come ( Read more... ) -
I've fallen off the face of this earth...
It has been an awfully long time since I last updated. A ton of things have been going on, and I'm probably going to do a bullet point list of highlights when I get the chance, which isn't right now.
