Talked to my actual vet, and if Homer has lymphoma, it's probably slow-moving enough that it wouldn't kill him, although I guess he'd need ongoing treatment. But it's still probably the other thing, and the treatment is similar for both. So he's going to get two doses of injectible steroids (I guess?) along with vitamin B-12, and we'll hope for the ( Read more... ) -

All I ever wanted
Took a mini-vacation last week, starting with the holiday Wednesday (actually starting with early release Tuesday). I had so many plans! Beach, movies... all fell by the wayside when I had to find a new apartment, but that worked out. Whee!
Finally got an apartment! Right in Harvard Square, but third floor back of the building, so it shouldn't be noisy, good size AND less than I'm paying now. I just don't even know. Vet
Back to the vet, 5 months after the last time -- she said 6, but I was running out of food and wanted to see if there was a different recommendation. The vet wants him to stay on the venison and pea food, which is fine (if $$), except for how yellow the puke is! It's gross. He's lost some more weight, down to 10.2 lbs. What's going on
I've been pretty social over the last week -- last Saturday, went on a whale watch with one friend, Tuesday I went to an Alzheimer's bowling thing with another friend, Thursday drinks with yet someone else. So that's good! No socializing this weekend, which is also good ( Read more... )
