Conversation overheard at lunchtime today at Baby School, about a baby whose parents want to raise her vegetarian:

Jeannie: Can vegetarians eat cereal?

Sheila: Yeah, they can eat cereal.

Jeannie: Oh. But then she probably can’t eat eggs, right?

Sheila: I don’t know. Some vegetarians eat fish and chicken.

Jeannie: What about breast milk?

ugh, I just figured out my husband didn't know about legumes having protein, and has never thought about where vegetarians get their protein.
