I came into some money today so I went shopping (clothes/shoes/accessories type shopping). After about ten minutes I realised my heart wasn't in it, tried for another ten and then gave up. I quit my old job cos I thought my new one would start soon. I was wrong! Still no start date and mildly annoyed but I am assured this is the nature of the BBC, television especially, given that everything is on a contract basis and series/filming/whatever start at random times.
