Last night after classes, Liss and I came back to the dorm and I made food for her while she packed. She's going up to Tokyo for a kind of reunion with some friends who she came on her first trip here a few years ago with. After the welcome party, we ended up organizing a trip to Amanohashidate, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan. We got a group together to buy a seishun 18 kippu together, but lo and behold, when we arrived at the station, they said that you could no longer buy the ticket, even though you could still use it through the 10. We had our welcome party today. Considering all the drama and pain that erupted from the last time this happened, this was fairly uneventful. The placement tests for Japanese language classes were on April 3. We had the written and listening exam and there was no interview for returning students. I left my study materials in Japan so I didn't really get much done over the break. Home from the trip. It was long and tiring and I don't want to THINK about how many hours I spent in a train over the past few days. Not to mention how much of a dent has been put into the bank account.
