Tonight I went to Target to buy a present for a wedding I will not be attending next Saturday. Target was so crowded it was terrifying. Once I returned home, I had to lay in bed so I could recover. I was also overwhelmed by the six pages of gifts on the registration (and they also registered at two other stores!). Who needs that much stuff? Donate

Weddings are a really good opportunity to get housewares, dude. Lots of people need housewares! And who can afford to buy it all themselves.

What bothered me about my friends wedding registry is that they already had tons of stuff (each has lived on their own for at least 10 years), and the registry was just so overwhelming. The bride later told me they returned lots of smaller items for store credit to buy the large items that no one bought them.

But I agree that weddings are an awesome way to get nice housewares!
