Add me to the filter. I want to see how your journey goes.
I had a friend who did gastric-bypass a few years ago. It was incredibly intense the first year. The emotional stuff was so vast.

It's going to be a difficult road I'm sure. I'm lucky because the lap band is a lot less invasive and the recovery time is really quick! Most lap band patients are back at work after a few days whereas gastric bypass puts you out of comission for 4-6 weeks! I can't imagine how difficult that would be!

I'm glad that you want to be on the filter.

Well if you do filter, I want in. It always helps to be doing things like that with someone else for support.

Good luck.

It will bring up a great deal. I recommend taking a look at thepathway.org for a program that can help you gain tools to cope with your triggers after the fact. I hear many stories of people who gain the weight back because they don't get the head stuff figured out. Or they become alcoholics because they don't know how to cope with the emotions. It's such a complicated process!
When are you scheduled to go in?
