OK, so I got my SAT subject test scores today, but I'm still slightly confused about what they mean. Here they are ( Read more... )

The scores are just like the SAT Reasoning Test scores: out of 800.

500's is mediocre.
600's is mediocre/good.
700's is great/excellent.
800 is amazing (unless you speak the language natively I guess).

Just so you don't feel like I'm an asshole or something, you should know that almost all of my SAT II scores (I have 5) are in the mid-600's.

no offense taken dude. i find the scores kind of funny actually (i'm not taking these tests half as seriously as the reasoning test) i actually did way worse on the World History test last year, a whopping 450 :)

thanks though, now it makes a hell of a lot more sense :) :)

i am not applying to and UC's so should i even take them? someone told me that if im just applying to state schools, i dont need to. this could be a lie.

I'm really not too sure myself. i didn't even know what these tests were until suddenly people were telling me last year that i should take the world history one, and also i should try to take more than one subject in them....it's really confusing.

all i know for sure is that they're not required, just highly recommended. and fo sho they're not half as important as the actual SAT Reasoning Test.
