I've set myself a challenge.

I'm not going to drink anymoreNot forever, but for an indefinite period. I'm sure I'll give in at New Years. I just want to see how it is - will I appreciate the perspective, or will I turn into a self-righteous anti-social mcwanker? This remains to be seen... I'll keep you posted. i've done that periodically since i was about sixteen. every so often, i'll just get fed up with unhealthiness and go completely clean. no alcohol, no cigarettes, no drugs, no candy, no pop, nothing. i usually go about 8 months and take them all back one by one.

na i don't get bored. i usually find more healthy activities to occupy my time. i go to the gym, bike, swim (in the summer) etc. after a while my friends get on my case about never hangin out with them and it's just a matter of time before i have a beer in my hand.

Wow, that's really good. I'm so lazy & unhealthy by nature though, so I don't know if I could stomach that. I think my friends will be the death of this whole thing.

Good for you. I stopped smoking a few months ago, and haven't picked up a cig since then. Well, I've picked 'em up, but I haven't smoked 'em!

Yeah, I stopped smoking six months ago. I wasn't much of a smoker, but I tried. Ha, no longer.
