Weather proofing

I gotta laugh at Obama whenever someone confronts him about the whole employment or environment situation and he dusts off the ol' "JOBS IN WEATHER-PROOFING! We'll make jobs in home insulation installation. Done, and done!" Has any of this even happened? Definitely Tim Allen - it. The plastic might not be a live saver, but it helps a little. Curtains, too.

i have put plastic over windows before and it really helped. my windows were so drafty though that the plastic blew back and forth, keeping me awake at some points.
we had a 1200$ electric bill last year so our landlord THANKFULLY came out and had our whole insulated... we hadn't had any at all. crazy.
we've been keeping the house at 62º this winter and i'm always cold but it saves money i suppose.
