I've been awful for years. I think that's the only reason I've not had serious problems. However, go for longer than normal and I definitely notice, especially post-surgery.
I've been trying to figure out what you mean... You think you haven't had problems because you've been inconsistent for years? But you notice more issues if you take too long to inject since having surgery? I'm confused.
Hahah... sorry. I was a bit incoherent at the time from exhaustion. :0P
I've always been horrible about injections. I'll go two weeks or a month and then realize, "Fuck.. my injection.." Since my hysterectomy, if I am approaching two weeks, I feel it more. I am tired and generally feel not so good.
I think my body was always good at realizing that I was going to fuck it up and don't get used to a regular dose at regular intervals, but now it is less tolerant.
Something else to consider...king_orbisonFebruary 12 2011, 04:50:30 UTC
Your gall bladder.
I had lots of ill-explained weight gain right before I had mine removed. Then, post-gall bladder, even more.
By no means do I live as cleanly as you, however, HRT has increased my propensity to throw my system out of whack.
Sometime in the next few weeks I'm switching from injections to an implant. According to my GP, and from what I found through my own research, the consistency of an implant will be significant factor in my ability to maintain healthy levels- mainly thyroid and insulin resistance.
