I've been considering hosting a dinner party. Not just any dinner party but a Live Action Role Play Dinner party. I'm not exactly sure what it is or how it would work, but I think it could be interesting. Very very interesting.

Did you ever play the game "Murder in the Dark" when you were a kid? That's role-playing of a sort. It'd be FUN!

Some sort of game where the guests pick a character to be and stay in role for the entire evening. Maybe I can give out a list of characters and we can kill someone off or something. I'm not quite sure yet. Something though. It'll come to me.

Yes, I was reading about the kits last night. I'll research a little bit further but I'm definitely going to make this happen.

Like a murder mystery dinner party? That's on my list of things to do.

I'll make sure to invite you two then. It'd be worth the drive or the bus ride... speaking of which, I'm going to have a handful of weekends when Jessica isn't home. I was thinking I could take that bus and visit you and Jay in the next couple of months. I can't remember the busline it's on though.

You know Jay and I love any excuse to wear costumes. We'd love to attend a murder mystery party. The bus is called Mega Bus. http://www.megabus.com/us/schedules/kansascity_chicago.php My niece Emily said her parents use it to go Chicago to Minneapolis and love it. We would love to host you in Lawrence!

i did a speakeasy murder mystery party for a friend once. it was a LOT of fun. more fun than i expected. everyone stayed in character. there were a finite number of characters, so since i hosted, i wasn't one of the main characters in the murder mystery, but it lended itself well to have peripheral characters.
