Was driving around and Unsent by Alanis Morissette played on shuffle. I like the song; something about hearing it tonight really touched me. Maybe it's the remembrance of past relationships and what she got out of them, and thinking about them after the fact. I've been remembering past relationship and what I've gotten out of them, what I value. ( Read more... )

No. I've managed to avoid it so far. Is it that much better than myspace?

It's much more active than myspace. To me, a myspace page is very static, like a billboard, "Here I am, come find me." FB is very interactive. It's like the best part of LJ plus the best part of Twitter. All of your friends things and posts are gathered onto a page like a friends list, but people post much more frequently like on Twitter. Plus a lot more people seem to be using it rather than myspace.

Shit, I am now youtubing "Unsent." So good. "Crazy" next.

Also this comment thread is hilarious. Myspace!

p.s. I'm reading back to refresh my memory on when/why we became LJ friends. Forgive me for my poor memory.

Did It work? (Refreshing your memory?) I will have to do the same thing now, including reading the comment thread.

Sorry for the slightly delayed reply. I have had a pretty unLJish year.

And now I need to hit Youtube.

Fuck if I know. That doesn't mean that it wasn't a major, life-changing event at the time, though. When I added you. I have found over the years that huge stuff on LJ just fades into black, memory-wise. Maybe that's partly why I appreciate it: I can drop it on the page here and leave it. I would probably be way more screwed up if I hadn't had my LJ therapy.

Thanks for the add! Now, post every day. At least, post once in a while. I've been off the train for most of this year. I just the other day caught up with one of my best friend's LiveJournal (BFF IRL). Not that horrible, 'cause we keep in touch via Facebook or, like, at her wedding when she gets married. But I have no idea what's going on with my LJ-only friends. They could be dead for all I know. Oh, god, that would be awful! Wouldn't that be awful?

One post down; 15,000 or so to go.

I'm considering the goal of going back to the beginning and reading all of my lj posts and comments. I wonder if, on balance, I'll be surprised by how much I remember or how much I forgot.
