dude, all u can really do is just learn from your mistakes. i know i have, but i never learn my lesson, so i repeat the same mistakes over and over. u wanted to make something work, and put in all the effort for it. i do the same thing. it might take a while, but there are guys out there who don't drink/do drugs. plus, with him being your 1st boyfriend, u had no real guidelines to go by. u would ask us for advice, but we all have different experiences so it was kinda confusing for u to know which advice to go by.

and don't feel like u don't deserve love. u totally do, he just didn't deserve yours. u told me he even admitted to knowing that some things he did hurt u, yet he didn't try to fix that. that is just effed on so many levels.

when u come over, i will have some ice cream ready :) we can have a men bashing night. me and my roomie do that enough lol. lub u!!
