I feel stupid pretty much all the time :/

I do try to be informed about things by watching the news and reading at least some informative books, but any time I get involved in any sort of politics or issue based discussion I always seem to come out feeling stupid and looking shallow - I am never sure whether its because I have a naturally positive outlook and tend to back out when things get heated or if I am just genuinely thick :/ Usually, I just shut up and listen rather than be talked down to.

I can't be totally stupid as I have a degree and a postgrad, but that doesnt make it any better really as they were so specialist.

... I do read celebrity magazines :/
