Thank goodness for Lord of the Rings, which paved the way for fantasy to be a major genre. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is going to be released on July 21, 2007. I find it hard, sometimes, to write without saying what I know my characters want to say. Sometimes it would be so much easier to swear than it is to find an appropriate and fitting 'ok' word. They just don't carry the same emotion that the curse words do. And my character is the kind of character that would be swearing. I can understand why John ( Read more... )

Two years ago for Lent I decided I was going to try and memorize the book of James backwards and forwards. That turned out to be insurmountably difficult, but I was able to get through chapter 1 and part of chapter 2. Thankfully, I can still remember some of it today.
