I took my first pill this morning. Chantix is a quit smoking medicine. Basically, it works by blocking nicotine from attaching to your brain receptors. you can do this...I totally believe in you. I quit smoking 4 years ago, and yes, it was/is tough, but totally worth it. Just the other day, I noticed how expensive cigarettes are nowadays and was thankful I didn't have a $6/day habit.

Yea, they have gotten expensive. I'm glad I don't have the 2 pack a day habit like I used to. I've cut down a lot, but Burn events/parties/gatherings seem to be a trigger for me. I don't drink, so smoking has been my 'drug' of choice.

Agreed- Aisha rules! I saw her for depression, not smoking- I thank my lucky stars I have never had any buzz from nicotine.

Yay for Flipside babies! So glad that you two have found each other! So glad that ya'll have reached this point that you both are all for! Yay for quitting smoking! EEEK as to side effects! But pleasepleaseplease, if you're feeling bad in any way and need anything at all, call me, email me, text me, yell real loud, whatever. (That is, of course, unless he isn't there and can't help... :} ) Seriously. If you have any sort of adverse side effects, know that there are tons of us here for you, that love you and want to help. Of course, we're here regardless of any drugs that you're taking to quit smoking, but that shit can be evil....

Thank you Sparrow! I hope I'm one of those folks who doesn't get bothered by it. I will call if needed, I promise. It's more like me to go off and try to deal with shit on my own, but after reading so much about it, it worried me that it could be something I might not be able to handle . I miss you darlin'. Where you been?

By the way, I happen to see you from a distance a week or two ago and you were all dressed up and looking HOT HOT HOT baby! What the heck was that all about and why aren't you always dressing like that? Whew...nice look that was!! Tee hee!

Yeah, I finally made it out to church night a few weeks ago. Thanks! I was in a MOOD... I had been lingerie shopping for a couple days, and was in a sexy mood. :D I don't always dress like that, 'cause it's hard to work in. hehehe
