Making babies is harder than I thought

I've been changing my eating habits, not drinking (not that I did much anyway), have quit smoking (still a fierce daily struggle), have been really good about taking my prenatal vitamins *every* day and am trying to learn all I can about pregnancy and what I should be doing before we get there. I've been ignoring this so far, but as of today, I ( Read more... )

Just because guys "don't have to" doesn't mean they *shouldn't*. Just like dieting, quitting these things (even temporarily) is easier with a partner who's working with you. :)

Good luck, Jen!

sing it, sista. Totally hear ya...I found gum helps in the pangs of cig lust. If you want baby-making advice, holler at me. For some, (ie. me) it's not as easy as it looks/seems.

The cig lust is over. I actually went and bought a pack, took one out and threw the rest of the pack away immediately. I took two drags and that was all I needed. It was gross!!! I think that might have just killed any more urge for a cigarette. Blech! I don't want that taste in my mouth anymore. Ewww!

I was a twelve-pack of Pepsi-a-day, quadruple-shot latte drinker until 2004, when I quit cold turkey.

It's damned hard, but after the first two weeks it will get better. Definitely find something else to take your attention away from the cravings. (Exercise, chewing gum, writing long rambling emails to Austin-chat, something that you can do instead).

Oh boy...keep me away from Austin chat! Hasn't Tym been posting? Heh. Nope, I know better than that!! Exercise is a good idea though. Might have to do a gym visit tonight.

give yourself a little leeway there lady, don't try and quit everything at once. ;p why not cut down to drinking tea initially for a while and then after a while of that stop drinking even tea? it will be a lot easier on your body and your brain to do it gradually and trying to quit two major addictions at once is going to make it doubly hard to succeed at both. your body is your friend, give it some time to adjust to all this new stuff you're throwing at it.

Yea, you know, it might be easier to do this one at a time. I like tea. I might have to revisit my tea selection in the pantry.

I agree with the Tea thing, there are some great organic black and green teas that are very good for you, lots of anti oxidants etc, and other great stuffs ( ... )
