Something I've been thinking about

Jan 26, 2004 00:21

A friend of mine said something interesting to me recently. He said, "Joe, you're the happiest person I know." I've been thinking about that, and I began to think about all my friends. I have a friend whose cousin was shot to death by a gang in his own house. He lost his own family's house when they couldn't afford to pay the rent, and is now ( Read more... )

Remeber that Beatles song? infrasonic January 26 2004, 02:24:36 UTC
"Every other day of the week is fine"

Good thing you have live journal and email to keep in touch with your friends and see what they are up to.

Yeah, so true. There are some I haven't been able to keep in touch with though. Do you know I haven't been in contact with Tamir at all? I don't even know his email!

I know I want to comment on this, but I am not sure how at the moment. The friends, I got friends like that too; the situations, know them by heart, could go through the moves anyday (not that I would ever want to). I know that I am lucky with some of the encounter's I have had, those being in the right place at the right time. I've been at the wrong place at the wrong time too many a time, but I try not to think about them. Selfishly I like to think how much more I presently have than what I had living at home. Sounds silly, but it's true. You've seen my room, it's packed! ;) (maybe that is just because i drop everything on the floor and i suck at cleaning but if u want to hide something, it is ideal) I also wanted to say that when your depressed it is still good to rememeber what you've got. newayzzz enough of my blabbering I am going to go work on my hebrew homework at the Gatro ( ... )

Stephie, I didn't mean it that way. You're not naive at all, you're very aware of things. But I admit that I'm naive, at least in some regards, because there's still very little I know. But that's part of what life is about, learning the stuff you still don't know.

But I still am naive in some respects and in many areas very little I know. I was just stating how interesting it is the person we sometimes seem to be and the person we really are. I was having a conversation with two kids the other day and almost started to think how naive they are, and than I realized that I cannot judge them. I have not spent anytime in their shoes or have had discussions with them. I love how interestingly we are changed by our experiences. I gotta run. Miss ya!!! Hope your having fun!

i felt the same way when i had a friend's 21st b-day party
i turned 21 like 4 yrs ago and i felt like the oldest person there
and i didn't know half of the other girls who showed up

See, this is why 2Pac kicks ass. Change has to happen, it's a good thing, but it really doesn't feel so good sometimes.

Roy Fry-Harding? Uhm..pretty much everything. A lot of it is anti-government and about popular ignorance of what people are going through every day in neighborhoods. His label is Triumphant, he'll be releasing his first album sometime next year probably, it's called "the Darker Side of the Light." What's your interest in rap? Do you go to hip hop clubs or try it out yourself or anything like that?
