I loved Alfred's discussion about freedom something fierce. *coos*

Thank you! It was kind of a risky move on his part, but I think he likes and rather trusts Kal, having known him when he was a boy (which is very weird, Alfred raising Kal...)

Yay! Finally Kal is getting his head out of his butt! I just hope his sudden fervor isn't doing too much damage to Bruce's carefully laid plans (because I *know* he has to have some...this is Bruce, after all!) :D

*grin* He's been laying plans for a very long time and Kal's gone and thrown a wrench in them all by being all idealistic at the wrong time. :) He'll work around it, though--he's Bruce, he's good at that. :)

Oh my God, I swear this is the best chapter yet. Alfred detailing his life before enslavement gave me shivers. And yay for Kal finally breaking his programming! I know I say this every time, but I can't wait to see what happens next. :D

Oh, I'm delighted you liked it! Alfred was just wonderful to write here--I never grab enough chances to write him, but he insisted in this chapter. :) And Kal getting angry at last was also a joy to work with. I should have the next chapter up soon!

I know, I was so happy to have him finally do something--even if it wasn't exactly what Bruce needed to have him do. *grin*
