I won't get to see it until the weekend either, because tomorrow is my first payday, and up to now I've been somewhat broke. Have fun!
And ... I always feel so bemused and happy whenever someone does something like that for me. It happens more often than makes sense to me. Thank you.
*grin* The way we say things ... literal translation shows nothing of a language, really, does it? I want to learn a few languages badly myself, but I have to empathised with your student. Sometimes things just don't look like they should make sense.
We can share very belated reactions to the movie together!
Ah, I try not to rec too often, but that story just hit me in exactly the right way at the right time. I loved it. It was a great example of what fanfic can be and do.
The English language is such a bear...there are so many words for everything thanks to our mutt-pedigree, and they're all subtly different...I don't know how people ever learn it, sometimes... I have a lot of respect for our students for being as good as they are.
Team Japan will take TDK by storm! I shall have to put up pictures of our swag that we got for buying advance tickets! I'm not saying because I plan on surprising Rai!
English is such a funny language. Japanese is...an oddly sensible language, once you get past the fact that huge amounts of things are only implied and inferred. I like it! I'm finally starting to get to the point where I can understand some nuance, it's so cool!
Yay, we shall watch TDK "together"! I doubt they have a 1:40AM showing there, though! *grin*

Your poor student. English makes no sense. I guess.. most languages make no sense in their day to day use? or is Japanese better about that?
I'll look into watch TDK this Friday to chat about it when you later this weekend! *snugs*
