... Ya know, I'm starting to be exceedingly grateful Bruce isn't a natural botanist. It's a little creepy.

When Bruce focuses on anything it can get a bit creepy. :) I love him for it, but, well...Bat-intensity and all that...

What a great thing to wake up to. I've been bak reading everything that I've missed these last two weeks and, of course, your stories were the very first thing I chose to catch up on- i'm glad they were!

This story is really intriguing (and Bruce needs a hug) and I can't help but love Poison Ivy, she's my favourite character (but Bruce really needs a hug :P)!

LOL! Ivy finally shows up in person soon! I started this arc and was like, "Damn, Clark and Bruce both know her!" so she had to stay backstage. But she'll be stepping up soon...

And I agree Bruce needs some hugs, poor guy. *hugs him*

Thanks so much for the comment! You make my day...

Look out world, there's a new detective-duo! Superman and Alfred Pennyworth! (I know if I were I criminal I'd be shaking in *my* boots XD;). I found sleuthing!Clark to be totally awesome in this chapter! I guess after dating and working with the Bat for a while one would begin to pick up a few new tricks ;) I agree with Alfred: it is a hard fact to swallow that when Bruce Wayne is cheerful and hopeful something's wrong >< Although I am glad that he and Clark picked up on the hint sooner than later!
And Alfred being an 'impertinent and cheeky whippersnapper' in his youth? Heaven forbid! (Must've gotten it from his mother's side, to be sure ;))
This story is so awesome! Beware, evil Bat-nappers! With Alfred and Clark on the case, there's nowhere to run and nowhere to hide! It's the World's Finest Bat Back-up, people! *nods* It's time to kick some plant-loving, lotus-obsessing butt! <3!

*beams* I have to admit to really loving the Alfred/Superman team when they get working together. They're a lot of fun! Watching them put the clues together (uh, "watching" sounds weird, but sometimes it is like I'm just writing down what I see them doing) was very cool--they're both very resourceful men and it was fun to write them at work.

I think "World's Finest Bat Back-Up" might just be one of my new favorite phrases. :) Thank you!

*hugs Alfred to death*

*releases him and hugs Jen to death instead*

Oh, I love this chapter! I want to print this chapter. You got things so, soooo right! Alfred! Roguish, impertinent, in action! Bruce, under the spell of some woman, and Clark and Alfred riding to his rescue. *happy sigh*

Little bits I especially loved would be the details of Alfred's father, Clark doing a Batman on it, and Alfred calmly and inarguably pushing his way into the rescue op, and promising to protect Clark from the Batwrath for letting him. Alfred and Clark make a fabulous team!

*randomly hugs you again* I love this chapter!

I have so much fun writing Alfred! When he gets in the right mood he just...takes control, not in a bossy way, but in the way of a character that knows that now is not a time for shilly-shallying.

Is there a canon answer on how Alfred ended up with the Waynes in the comics? I'm not sure I know of one...it was kind of fun to imagine how he ended up there and what his father must have been like...

Alfred and Clark to the rescue! *grins* The two of them together are...just a lot of fun, somehow. I'm so glad you liked!

Duh! I'm an idiot. Poison Ivy doesn't need to make a visual aphrodisiac, she just has to make a perfume for the lovely Lavender Lee (go alliteration!).
