Reading Trinity--even though I'm a couple of weeks behind now--has gotten me thinking about the Tarot and who I would match with the cards of the Major Arcana. I love Jim as Justice! That seems so perfect to me. And Clark is definitely the sun. Definitely.

Jim as Justice makes good sense--although the argument for Manhunter (Kate Spencer) is pretty compelling. There are lots of corners of the DCU I know nothing about!

I think Mina is winning me over for Tim on his motorbike for the Chariot, though the Batmobile is still way cool...

Just from your definition here (I don't now Tarot) I'd say Donna for the Empress. But I, of course, bow to your wisdom

The Empress is usually something of a mother figure, but the DCU is very lacking in maternal women! Donna might well work for the non-maternal aspects, though...hmm. She also might work for some of the rebirth images, like Death or the Hanged Man...

i actually created some rough DC tarot cards for the major arcana a couple of years ago. they may even still be in my gallery...

i like your interpretations of them. we had a lot of the same ideas, but some are different, partly because mine were created before infinite crisis and OYL, and partly because you know a little more about tarot than i do :P

i'd love to sketch up your versions if you wouldn't mind :)

I can't argue with your other choices, either, though of course Ma Kent is the Empress! :) Though I could see Hippolyta, too.

The cards are so complex, like people, so you can easily have more than one choice. :)

Yeah, I just looked at batfan_sarah's choices and they're mostly different from mine and totally awesome! It's amazing how flexible the card readings and the characters can be...
