My friend, Marisela, and I are going to Cabo in May for a few days. We booked our air and confirmed our hotel yesterday. She won 5 free nights from a contest we had at work (I work at a travel agency and we have these contests all the time) at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset. Had my weigh in this morning for the "Biggest Loser" challenge at Gold's Gym. I lost 3 pounds last week. So, that's 5 pounds the first week, 3 pounds the 2nd. 8 pounds in 2 weeks! I know that's more than I should be losing at once but it was the circumstances ( Read more... ) -

I did it! I went kayaking for the first time this morning! I went with my friend, Eileen. It was a 3 hour trip out a mile and up the coast a ways and back. I was so proud of myself for being able to paddle almost the entire time without stopping. I only stopped when we stopped after the mile to look at the sea lions for a couple of minutes. Doing better today. I took the day off and hung out with my friend, Sara. We went hiking this morning on a coastal trail for a couple of hours (the coast being the Monterey Bay coast up Highway 1 towards Davenport/Half Moon Bay). So, in talking a little bit with TJ, it sounds like Debbie was less to blame than I gave her credit for. And I'm sorry to her for the tainted view that I seemed to have portrayed. I don't think I posted about this before. The Gold's Gym by my work is having it's own Biggest Loser Contest (like the reality tv show but the gym is holding their own contest for 14 weeks). All the contestants weigh in every Monday and the results are posted each Friday in the local paper. After the 14 weeks is over, the winner (or winners, not ( Read more... )
