Late yesterday afternoon the "downsize" ax fell---and I got "chopped".

First time in my long life I've ever been without a job.

Really bad time to be unemployed, too. I see a total crash & burn in my future, and we ain't talkin' 'bout no airplanes, either. Nobody's interested in a 58 year old single white male with mild spina bifida...

You might be able to go ahead and start drawing social security. True, it will be at a lower rate than if you waited until you were 65, but I think the way the math works out, you're prolly better off doing it early. That's what Mom did.

I dunno, 58 is a big chop, like 40%. Without another source of income, you really can't make it on that little amount. I know as a 48 year old SWM how much of a bear it is to get work out here...

Maybe back to the word processor?
