I plan to live a long life. When Papa was really sick, my heart broke for his suffering and the thought of losing him soon, but I got to really know him as an adult and he was one of my best friends and always will be, and I probably wouldn't have had that chance if he'd died younger, and especially much younger. Who doesn't want to see their grandchildren grow up?
I think I'm actually kind of angry at your co-worker because of all the people I've known who died too young and wouldn't have chosen that for the world.
I wish people didn't have to die at all.

My husband died when he was 45. It was unexpected, but almost 9 years later, I can say that when he died, we were in the best place in our relationship that had lasted for almost 22 years.
Do I wish he was still alive? Every day--I never planned on retiring as a solo act.
I love my life, and want to live to a nice ripe old age, provided my mind and my physical capabilities are in reasonably good order. But I don't want to suffer--and I don't want to be a burden to my friends.
what?? definitly not!! isn'tthat why we wantthe hero to survive/ we identify withthem and woudln't wantto loose and die if we were inthat fight. but seriosuly i mean hello? what kind of well....i lie kthe name yo ugave that coworker. eegh
No! But I don't want to die too old either. I mean, I don't want to out-live my health and all my family and friends. Like living to be 100--who wants to do that? Not me. **shakes head in bewilderment**
So you're like the party mom who just said, "Raise your hand if you want juice." And I'm the kid who shoots up his hands and yells, "I want milk!"
