OOooOOOoooOOOooooo (Pretty music and waltz)

Mozying around the intarwebs, I stumbled upon this work. What a pretty song! And a lovely dance. It's a bit strange to hear a different tempo when you're already used to one, but anyway, thought I would share the pretties...

The dance is very nice. I wouldn't call it a waltz, though.

It's true they don't do a whole lot of "traditional" closed position holds and they do a bunch of syncopated steps when they are, but it still counts...
Closer to waltz than other ballroom in any case, methinks. ;P
Although, you're right -- it's pretty, um, deviant?

This seems really odd to me as a pick for a waltz because the song is in six, not in three. Also new to my eyes, seeing waltzers break contact with each other.

Methinks it's international style that does not break contact or even leave closed position...

This is the type of dance I do. I have actually done a good majority of the moves in the video! Thank you for posting, it was beautiful!

The reason the moves are so "risky" and non traditional is because the level appears to be higher. They would be dancing in a "gold" level or are probably pro-am by the looks of things which gives them a more open syllabus so they can do non-traditional open moves.

Ahhh, I never knew different levels opened up the floor for more varying styles and fancy moves. Thanks for explaining. :)
