Sitting in a muffler shop

So I took my car, which is sporting a bona fide muffler violation and has been for a month and a half at least now, to a Midas shop a few weeks ago and was quoted $500. Ack! I really think I can deal with the embarrassing loud muffler for that cost. But later, someone mentioned "Mad Hatter" on the cities west side. They swore they have great prices ( Read more... )

You know, I always knew I was spelling that wrong, but spell checkers never offer an alternative spelling.. they just tell me it's wrong. So, I decided to spell it that way until I learn otherwise.

And no, Mad Hatter only does mufflers. I asked.

Just go here: http://www.cars.com/go/advice/cartalk/index.jsp?aff=national and type in your zip code. When you find Mad Hatter, you can fill in your own review. That site helped me find a trustworthy mechanic here in Philly, and my dad find one in Medina, OH.

Well, crap. They don't have Mad hatter listed, so I can't "add" a review. I couldn't find anywhere I could create a new listing to review either.
